SOL AZUL
2003
Sol Azul's first album is a compilation of classic boleros. Featuring the original lineup of Ernesto Tapia, Javier Gonzalez, Joe Maxwell, Kevin Hubbell, John Cramblit and Mauricio Vazquez. The album was recorded by Emery Joe Yost in 2003. This album is only available by special request. Chicago artist Robert Valadez did the artwork.
LA RUTA DE ABRIL
2007
Our second album features the same lineup, and a few boleros, but now the band is writing music. Many of the songs are Sol Azul standards. The 11 songs were recorded by Alex Sosa in Chicago. Album art is Michael Hernandez de Luna.
JUNK RACE
2010
Pepe Cruz joins the band and brings his Mexico City rock bass guitar with him for this 2010 release. It's 11 original tracks, and all rock and roll! This album is available on all the electronic media platforms, so go out and get you some. Danny Shaffer was our engineer. Chicago artist and Loyola Rambler Jim Weber did the artwork.
TAN TÁN
2018
Two years in the making, Sol Azul returned to the music scene with their new album Tan Tán. This album reflects a new turn in their career as a progressive Rock Band. With Tan Tán, Sol Azul created some of their most compelling work to date. Now just four band members; Ernesto Tapia's voice has never been better, John Cramblit is tearing it up on drums, Pepe Cruz's talents as bassist and songwriter are unmatched, and Joe Maxwell brings out the guitars from Strat to classical. Listen and enjoy the superior sound quality that this album has to offer. Sol Azul recorded this album at the Jamhole in Chicago. The album was mixed by Matt Dougherty.
